ABOUT US...

My Fun House was founded in 2011 by a mother of three whom practiced and taught architecture for over fifteen years. The program was created as a "for profit business" to expose students to the field of architecture and sustainability in a friendly yet fun environment. After exploring the needs of the community and after school time, the program expanded upon its business model with the creation of annual online project subscriptions and workshops through its non-profit efforts.

Today My Fun House is owned and operated by XSTREAM After School Enrichment Program Inc. All learning programs are designed for students to explore and develop their critical thinking skills which could lead to an exciting STEM career as a designer in such fields as architecture, engineering and environmental science. The foundation of design for the built environment is perfect for helping young students develop their critical thinking and problem solving skills.

FUN IS HOW WE TEACH.  We engage students in fun hands-on participatory projects where they can DREAM, DESIGN, BUILD CREATE!

In 2013, the program was taught to approximately 500 students enrolled in Foundation Communities Summer Camp. Foundation Communities provides a lot more than affordable housing. The company's learning centers are located right where families live.  The centers increases their resident's educational and/or economic standing without the barriers of transportation, cost or childcare. The success of the summer camp helped us to realize - we can reach more students by providing our lesson plans to teachers, parents and community organizations online as well.

The function of education is to teach one to

think intensively and to think critically.

Intelligence plus character that is the goal of true education.
